Brad Bellomy is a seasoned pastor with over 26 years of ministry experience, currently serving as the Lead Pastor of Mosaic Church Atlanta, a vibrant and multiethnic congregation in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene. Born and raised in Winnsboro, South Carolina, a small town on the outskirts of Columbia, Brad brings a unique blend of spirituality, social science, and leadership to his ministry. His academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Master of Organizational Leadership, and a Master of Arts in Theology from Trevecca Nazarene University, as well as completed coursework toward a Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina.
Since becoming an Oblate at Belmont Abbey in 2011, Brad has been passionately committed to contemplative spirituality, continually seeking ways to integrate its deep wisdom into both personal practice and congregational life. As a spiritual leader, Brad draws on insights from Christian mysticism, psychology, and organizational leadership to guide others on their journey of faith, particularly in the practice of contemplative prayer and navigating the Dark Night of the Soul.
In addition to his pastoral work, Brad is a semi-professional photographer who has learned to integrate photography into his contemplative life through contemplative photography, or mindful photography. He teaches others how to practice this unique form of photography as a way of seeing the world with intention, capturing the beauty of God’s presence in ordinary moments.
A devoted husband to Krista since 1998, and father to Hannah and Wesley, Brad understands the complexities of family life and personal growth. His ministry reflects a deep concern for holistic well-being—spiritual, emotional, and relational. His teachings are practical yet profound, always pointing toward deeper union with God and an authentic expression of faith in everyday life.
In addition to his pastoral duties, Brad is committed to fostering a greater awareness of contemplative spirituality in his church and community through writing, speaking, and digital platforms. He is a passionate advocate for creating spaces where people can encounter God in the midst of their own experiences of uncertainty, spiritual dryness, and transformation.
